Exciting news, “Lucky Girl: A Portrait of Jacqui Naylor” DVD has been awarded national distribution through eOne Distribution, with a street date of June 19, 2012. The timing couldn’t be better as the release is just three days after the premiere and live concert celebration we have planned at the Florence Gould Theater inside the Legion of Honor in San Francisco on Saturday, June 16.
ARTiDOCs followed Jacqui and her band on tour internationally for two years, interviewing people close to her heart and integral to her music.
We’ll watch the premiere of the film at 6:30 pm, have a short intermission and wine reception, signed DVDs will be on sale that night, then Jacqui and her band will perform a full concert at 8 p.m. Her talented band of almost a decade will join Jacqui on stage including Art Khu (piano/guitar), Jon Evans (bass), Josh Jones (drums).
This wonderfully warm and acoustically perfect old theater seats 300 like we were all in the queen’s living room. Tickets are $35 which includes the film, wine reception, concert and get this…..free admission to the Legion of Honor Museum the day of the show. They also have free parking. So you can make a day of it at this beautiful location that overlooks where the Pacific meets the Bay. Go to the museum during the day, eat at one of the fabulous restaurants nearby then catch the film and concert with doors at 6 p.m. The evening is General Seating so you’ll want to come and grab a seat.
